3 Tasty Snacks That Won’t Break Your Diet

One of the hardest parts of any diet is dealing with hunger between meals. It can be very tempting to buy an unhealthy snack like chips or cookies if we aren’t completely satisfied with our last meal. Here are three examples of healthy snacks you can eat between meals without breaking your diet.

1. A Cup Of Plain Or Frozen Yogurt

If you have a craving for something sweet but you don’t want to give in to the temptation of ice cram or candy than yogurt is a great option.  Serve yourself a cup of yogurt in a small Tupperware and carry it with you in a lunch box. If you’re more interested in something cold, than freezing the yogurt is another good option. If frozen yogurt is something your more interested in, it maybe smarter to return home to your freezer during your lunch break than carry it along with you in a lunchbox.

2. An Ounce of Your Favorite Nuts

If you’re the type who craves something salty, rather than giving in to the temptation of chips carry a container of your favorite nuts. Whether the nuts are salted or seasoned, they are likely a quarter of the calories of a small bag of chips and provide much more protein. About 1oz of nuts is the best serving size for a snack, that’s roughly 23 individual nuts.

3. A Prepackaged String Cheese

Another great snack option that many don’t consider is cheese. Prepackaged portions of string cheese can be purchased at any grocery store. One stick of string cheese is a satisfying snack between meals that also provides a good amount of protein. Because of the dozens of different types of string cheeses, it’s also a great way to break up the monotony of chips and candy.
