With Amazon Alexa taking the world by storm, we have to admit that as much as it is making our lives easier, it’s also tolerating laziness among users.  If you’re not disciplined with your diet, it’s so easy to order pizza, junk food and your favorite “cheat meals” without even leaving your bed.

But hey, you can’t blame Alexa for that because she’s also doing her part in encouraging a healthy lifestyle with a number of diet and fitness-related skills that you can access from your Echo, Dot and the newest Alexa-powered devices.

Track by Nutritionix

Alexa can help you meet your #caloriegoals with the Nutritionix skill.  If you count calories and carbs, you can simply ask  Alexa to look up nutritional information for you.

“Alexa, ask food tracker how many calories are in 2 eggs and 3 slices of bacon.”

“Alexa, ask food tracker how many carbs are in 3 ounces of pasta.”

Tracking your food intake has become so easy and seamless too.  Now you can log your meals without lifting a finger.  Just say, “Alexa, tell food tracker I ate 15 almonds.”

Personal Trainer 

If you think personal fitness coaches are just for celebrity, well, not if you own an Echo.  Alexa will also work as your personal trainer through this skill from Trainacular where you can have access to different types of workout from 7-minute workouts to rep-based workouts that will target the area that you wish to focus on.
